the Italianates are coming...
Yesterday evening a rusted grocery shopping cart was retrieved from a rubblesque arrangement of items on School Street between Mechanic Street and Jackson Avenue here in Bradford PA, and pulled all the way over city streets to a supermarket parking-lot. That supermarket suddenly closed about a week ago, though, but the little 'corrals' that hold shopping carts remain nearby. The supermarket was located near a new oil well opened up within past months using hundreds of pounds of explosives. As a child, we were always cautioned about Willard Avenue, and finally the blast has come with an oil-not-lava gusher.
