The artifact oracle-bead chronicle, tucked away beneath a limestone roadside-rest/monument in Degolia PA, does resemble a tiny blob of petroleum jelly when sighted at a distance; it is made from mucous forged within someone's nose and nasal cavities and is a sort of waxy/gel bubble that holds memory-images and a voice-strip preserved inside it.
